We are seeking experienced Data Analysts for a long-term contract role supporting major federal government initiatives. The roles offer the chance to deliver high-impact, insight-driven analytics within a dynamic, data-centric environment.

You'll be involved in the end-to-end design and delivery of trusted statistics, visualisations and analytical products to support critical government decision-making.

• Perform data extraction, manipulation, and analysis across large and complex datasets
• Develop interactive dashboards and visualisations using Tableau and Power BI
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders to gather requirements and deliver tailored insights
• Identify and resolve data quality issues and recommend improvements
• Leverage tools such as SQL, Python, R, Alteryx, SQL, Python, R, Alteryx for analysis and transformation
• Produce documentation, including technical specifications, wireframes, and business requirements
• Ensure compliance with data governance, security and reporting standards

• Proven experience working with Tableau (5 years ideal), SQL, and data visualisation
• Familiarity with ETL tools (e.g. Alteryx), cloud platforms (AWS, Azure), and databases (SQL Server, Oracle)
• Experience with scripting languages such as Python or R
• Strong stakeholder engagement and the ability to translate technical data into actionable insights
• Experience producing a range of data outputs including dashboards, statistical products and written reports

• Baseline Security Clearance is essential
• Previous experience on public sector or high-security data projects is advantageous
• A tertiary qualification in statistics, mathematics, data science or a related field is desirable
