As our client continue to expand our operations, they are seeking a talented Contract Data Engineers to join our team.

Position Overview: As a Contract Data Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in projects, focusing on implementing data solutions tailored to our clients' needs. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to design, develop, and deploy data pipelines and analytics solutions. This is an exciting opportunity to work with state-of-the-art technologies in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, and maintain data pipelines to support real-time and batch processing needs.
  • Implement data offloading strategies and optimize data storage solutions.
  • Utilize expertise in IoT technologies to integrate sensor data into our systems.
  • Develop and maintain MQTT-based communication protocols.
  • Architect and implement data storage solutions using Snowflake, Azure, and AWS.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure data integrity, security, and compliance standards are met.
  • Provide technical guidance and support to junior team members as needed.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
  • Proven experience as a Data Engineer or similar role.
  • Strong proficiency in IoT technologies and protocols.
  • Hands-on experience with data offloading techniques and MQTT.
  • Familiarity with cloud platforms such as Snowflake, Azure, and AWS.
  • Proficiency in designing and implementing scalable data storage solutions.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Effective communication and teamwork abilities.

Additional Information:

  • This is a 6-month contract position with a high potential for extension based on performance and project requirements.
  • The position is based in Perth, Australia
  • The role will require people to work in the office 5 days a week
