Reporting to the Commercial Pricing Manager, the Senior Commercial Pricing Analyst will undertake the following responsibilities:

• Collaborate with the Commercial Pricing Manager to define and establish pricing objectives aligned with overall business strategy.
• Assist CPM to develop pricing tactics to achieve revenue and profitability targets, regulate team priorities and ensure timeliness in all pricing deliverables.
• Championing the pricing opportunities to maximize profitability through rate card optimisation and maintenance, cyclic uprates, value advocacy based on market segments.
• Cultivating strong relationships and collaborating with cross-functional teams, local commercial partners, and national stakeholders.
• Collaborating closely with various business units to align pricing strategies.
• Reviewing customer contracts to refine pricing structures and enhance value.
• Monitoring and analysing competitor pricing strategies to maintain competitive edge.
• Developing sophisticated scenario models in Excel with multiple variables and clearly documented assumptions.
• Conducting comprehensive risk and gap analyses to proactively mitigate challenges.
• Efficiently managing large volumes of data from diverse sources to inform pricing decisions.
• Serving as the primary point of contact, proactively addressing gaps and ensuring clarity.
• Upholding the highest standards of governance and adherence to the set policy frameworks.

To be successful in this critical role you will bring the following skills and experience:

• Non-negotiable attributes: Impeccable attention to detail, Critical thinking, Openness to asking sharp qualitative and quantitative questions, and a commitment to learning, Solutions-oriented mindset, Commercial acumen.
• 5+ years' experience as a Pricing Analyst in a quick-moving commercial environment.
• CA or CPA qualification is a must. Tertiary qualifications preferably from IT, Engineering, Business, Commerce, or related fields.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel, ERP, CRM, PowerBI, and relevant accounting software.
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail, with the ability to quickly analyse large datasets and derive actionable insights.
• Strong understanding of market dynamics, industry trends, and competitive landscapes.
• Ability to lead pricing projects initiatives, pricing optimization and value-based strategies.
• Experience in developing and maintaining pricing models and tools to support CPM and the wider commercial team with the decision-making processes.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey complex pricing concepts to stakeholders at all levels.
• Proven track record of driving revenue growth and profitability through effective pricing.
• Experience in cross-functional collaboration with sales, operations, finance, and national teams to align pricing strategies with the SBU's business objectives.
• Leadership abilities, including mentoring and coaching junior team members, and providing support for the set pricing initiatives.
