Technician - PC and Printers
About our client:
Our client is a global technology company leading how the provides solutions to their customers. They are focused on personal computers , printers and other hardware and software products.
About You:
You will have experience with strong IT hardware background in break-fix of PC and Printers. You will maintain a high level of Customer satisfaction by understanding Customer needs and ensuring that they are met.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide our customers with onsite Hardware break-fix support for Laptop/PC/printer products
- Perform routine maintenance and repairs on Customer equipment (hardware only) working primarily on site
- Configure system hardware, software and network components when required
- Assist the customer with ongoing product training on device features and best practices during routine preventative maintenance or break/fix engagements.
- Gather data from known resources and solve moderately complex problems.
- Ability to troubleshoot hardware and software related issues
- Escalate issues according to established procedures.
- Follow established procedures after completing Customer call.
- Learn new technologies.
- Solve well-defined and moderately complex problems using established policies and technical principles.
- Identify Customer needs and evaluate opportunities to retain and increase service levels.
Skills/Experience
- 3+ Experience in Laptop/PC/Printer products
- 3 plus year's experience in customer service/support role
- Ability to translate technical jargon into plain language
- Good general knowledge of IT hardware technical standards and technical trouble shooting processes.
- Proven hardware troubleshooting experience
- Excellent customer service and communication skills
- Hardware repair experience
- High level of windows troubleshooting experience
- Ability to learn new products - ongoing training provided
- Can do attitude and good team player
- Good organisational and time management skills
- Must have Australian driver's license
