The Solution Architect with a focus on security requirements to interact with and tie into the design and architecture function to ensure alignment with the cyber security strategy and to develop all relevant solution artefacts required for the projects , including requirements definition, solution options, solution patterns, high level and detailed solution designs ensuring highly available systems compliant with organisational and whole-of-government policies across various applications and technologies

Key Accountability :

• The role will be focused on the promoting a "Secure by Design" culture across the enterprise business systems and will require the successful candidate to drive the following activities:

• Partners with business and IT representatives including enterprise architecture, application, infrastructure and security teams in requirements gathering, risk assessment and reviews to produce an optimal, requirements and designs for each project;

• Analyze and translate security policy, standards and requirements into architectural blueprints that can be consumed by each project;

• Works closely with the Enterprise Security Architect, Project Manager, the Security Assurance team and Project team members to ensure compliance with the business ISMS standards and patterns. Actively participates in design authority and architecture review board forums representing the Cyber Security domain;

• Consult with internal staff at all levels to develop and maintain comprehensive and accurate security checklists and risk assessment models for new and modified applications;

• Work closely with vendors to specify and negotiate security requirements which meet our Policy framework and the needs of the business.

Skills and Experience:

• Proven extensive experience as a Solution Architect gained across a number of larger organisations (>5,000 users) with complex solution requirements, preferably in the public sector

• Basic understanding of ACSC ISM & PSPF

• Experience in solution architecture with minimum 5 years' experience in designing and architect security

• Experience in requirements for ISM based systems at PROTECTED

• Experience in designing solutions and deployments using modern approaches including Agile, DevSecOps, SRE, delivered via Outsourced or Inhouse, and operated as "Products" with defined "Service Outcomes" as defined by Service Level Indicators and Objectives
