Transition Manager with focus on managed services is a must
Daily Rate - $600/day - $750/day
Location - Must be Sydney or Newcastle based (Hybrid working arrangement)

Our global IT client is looking for a solid Service Delivery Transition Manager/Transition Manager to join their growing project team in Sydney or Newcastle.


  • Responsible for deliverables against agreed scope, budget, schedule & customer expectations.
  • Ability to prepare MS project plans and tracking them to closure.
  • Should be capable of reviewing contract documents and highlight the salient points from the contract as a summary to the team.
  • Ability to work closely with the team, assign resources and ensure project completion as per timelines and budget.
  • Working closely with senior executives, solution architects, service delivery, finance, procurement, service management, datacentre operations, third-party vendors for successful execution of projects.
  • Should be capable of documenting RACI charts, project plans, handover documents, weekly / monthly project status reports etc.
  • Performing key activities across project lifecycle starting from inception till successful transition to operations (business as usual) support.
  • SOW review, resource allocation, solution handover, gap identification, project kick-off.
  • Planning & Execution: discovery- planning workshops, remote connectivity/service design reviews, schedule & budget management, change management, knowledge transfer, user acceptance testing (UAT), operational readiness reviews go/no-go decisions.
  • Work Breakdown Structure (WBS) management (time & expense), project labour billing, vendor payments, invoicing, forecasts etc.
  • Project metrics & status reporting, change controls, escalation matrix, project plan certification, project health assessment, quality & compliance controls by participating in periodic audits & governance reviews.
    Implementing processes/methodology to ensure delivery excellence.
  • Project planning, scheduling, estimation, tracking, business analysis, user coordination, governance, control of progress and overseeing implementation and post-implementation activities.


  • 5 years working experience on Transition/project management is a must
  • IT Service management/delivery environment experience.
  • Bachelor's degree in IT OR Diploma is a must
  • Project Manager must have experience in transitioning managed services
  • Experience in directly dealing with customers and keeping them engaged
  • Experience within ITIL and IT Service Management environment
  • Must be able to understand ITSM solutions, managed services solutions
  • Certifications required for this role - ITIL 4 foundation or ITIL practice manager, PMP or Prince 2
  • Must have full work rights - Citizen or PR
  • Any previous Security Clearances is a bonus
