Senior Oracle Fusion Middleware Developer

12 Month Contract + Extension
Hybrid Working Available

We are seeking an experienced Senior Oracle Fusion Middleware Developer to join a major Federal Government program delivering and supporting critical health and ageing business systems. This is a senior level role equivalent to EL1, suited to a highly skilled integration specialist with strong Oracle FMW expertise.

This contract offers an initial 12 month term with the possibility of a further 12 month extension. Flexible and hybrid working arrangements are supported and may be discussed upon commencement.

About the Role

As a Senior Oracle Fusion Middleware Developer, you will be responsible for enhancing and supporting enterprise business systems through the design, development and deployment of integration services using Oracle Fusion Middleware technologies.

You will provide technical leadership within a delivery team and work closely with business analysts, architects, project managers and operations teams to ensure high quality, reliable integration solutions are delivered.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop, enhance and support SOAP and REST services using Oracle Fusion Middleware products including Oracle Service Bus and SOA Suite such as BPEL, Mediator, Human Task and Business Rules
  • Design, describe and consume services using WSDL, WADL, Swagger and Open API standards
  • Perform complex message transformations using XSLT and XQuery
  • Collaborate with Business Analysts to translate business requirements into clear and effective service designs including processing logic, business rules, mappings and error handling
  • Define service contracts including message definitions, business rules and non functional requirements
  • Produce and maintain high quality technical documentation including service contracts, mapping documents and unit test specifications
  • Participate in daily stand ups and provide regular progress updates to the Project Manager
  • Build strong working relationships with project team members and IT Operations teams including Middleware Administrators and Production Support
  • Contribute to the development and support of platforms such as Axway API Gateway, Axway API Manager, Axway API Portal and ESS

Essential Experience

  • Demonstrated experience developing and supporting Oracle Fusion Middleware products including Oracle Service Bus and BPEL
  • Expert level experience designing and building SOAP and REST web services using industry standard integration patterns and best practices
  • Proven experience delivering solutions to complex integration challenges in large scale environments
  • Strong capability in producing detailed technical solution documentation and unit test specifications
  • Solid experience defining service contracts, error handling policies and non functional requirements
  • Ability to work effectively with Business Analysts to interpret business needs and translate them into technical service designs
