This integral State Government Department requires an experienced Senior Apex Analyst Developer to join the ICT Delivery Group on a 5-month contract with the potential for further extensions. Reporting to the Manager Data and BI, as the Senior APEX Analyst Developer, you will be responsible for design, build, implementation and support of solutions in on-prem and cloud environments.

Deliverables

• Design and build solutions including processes, data models, reports, and security models, applying relevant concepts and techniques in accordance with industry practices and standards.
• Develop accurate work package estimates and assemble work packages, including development modules, in accordance with prescribed requirements, design documentation and industry practices and standards.
• Actively lead and participate in the 'end-to-end' delivery of solutions from business requirements, solution design and build, testing and deployment.
• Produce complex documentation in accordance with the quality review standards such as technical specifications, solution design, release and deployment instructions, procedures, user manuals and work packages.
• Provide expert advice on development methodologies, coding standards, development tools, operating systems, databases, scripting languages and analytics packages.
• Participate in BI process improvement by actively researching new and innovative technologies and practices for recommendation to the Manager Data and BI including the active review and refinement of existing solutions.
• Perform high-quality unit testing and provide support for integration and system testing of solutions.
• Actively contribute to continuous improvement, including assisting with initiatives as directed by the Technology Solutions leadership group.

Qualifications and Experience

• Extensive industry knowledge and hands on experience in design and build of complex relational database architectures in an Oracle environment.
• Extensive industry knowledge and hands on experience in design, build, and support of complex applications using Oracle APEX v4 / v5 and database 11g, 19c.
• Very strong experience with SQL, PL/SQL, CSS, and scripting languages including JavaScript, Python.
• Well experienced in open-source Java reporting tools such as JasperReports
• Very strong understanding of scripting, design, and visualisation concepts supporting your application of these skills in solution design and build.
• Demonstrated experience in problem diagnosis and resolution.
