We are seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager to lead the delivery of key cyber security initiatives within a large government ICT environment. This role will focus on internal identity and Privileged Access Management solutions and requires strong leadership, stakeholder engagement and delivery capability.
About the role
You will be responsible for managing and delivering complex, organisation wide ICT projects within a cyber security environment. This includes overseeing project planning, execution, stakeholder collaboration and ensuring successful delivery of outcomes aligned with strategic objectives.
This is a Canberra based role with a hybrid arrangement. Candidates must be located in the ACT and able to attend the office, with limited work from home flexibility.
Key responsibilities
- Manage, deliver and monitor large scale ICT and cyber security projects
- Lead delivery of internal identity and PAM initiatives
- Develop and implement detailed project plans, schedules and governance frameworks
- Collaborate with internal teams, executives, service providers and external stakeholders
- Ensure project milestones and deliverables are achieved on time and within budget
- Provide expert advice, reporting and briefings to senior stakeholders
- Manage risks, issues and dependencies and implement mitigation strategies
- Oversee budget management, procurement and contract management activities
- Lead quality assurance and ensure project outcomes meet business needs
- Drive continuous improvement, innovation and change initiatives
- Develop team capability through coaching and mentoring
- Represent the organisation in cross agency and external forums
About you
You are a highly capable Senior Project Manager with strong experience delivering cyber security and identity initiatives within complex environments. You bring excellent communication skills, sound judgement and the ability to manage competing priorities effectively.
Essential requirements
- Minimum 5 years experience as a Senior Project Manager in ICT or cyber security
- Proven experience delivering internal identity projects
- Demonstrated experience delivering Privileged Access Management solutions
- Strong stakeholder engagement across vendors, managed service providers and business units
- Ability to manage complex workloads and deliver high quality outcomes under pressure
Additional requirements
- Must be able to obtain Negative Vetting Level 1 security clearance
- Police check required
