ManpowerGroup is actively engaged with a State Government department who is seeking an experienced Media Liaison Officer to join a renowned institute and guide their media and public relations programs and activities. In this role you will provide your expert advice in the field to support achievement of the institute's operations and strategic objectives.

Key Duties:

• Undertake the development and delivery of public relations, media and public affairs activities
• Provide your specialist advice and feedback on media communications methods
• Engaging with public members and stakeholders and ensuring their feedback is consistent with the institutes goals
• Develop briefings on issues raised in the media and provide advice on enhancing the profile of the institute
• Providing expert advice on contentious media issues to address and minimise negative public perception of the Institute and/or the broader NSW Health system

About You:

• Previous experience in a similar role (Desired)
• Tertiary qualifications in Media/Communications/Public Relations (Advantageous)
• Excellent written and communication skills
• Problem solving mindset
• Effective negotiating skills
