Lead Strategic Recovery & Business Improvement Initiatives

We are seeking an experienced and highly analytical leader to join a large and complex organisation in a pivotal role focused on recovery, systems improvement, governance, assurance and strategic projects.

This position plays a key role in driving the continuous improvement of recovery programs through data driven insights, project management, governance frameworks and business process enhancement. Reporting to the Associate Director Recovery, you will work collaboratively across People & Culture, operational leaders and external stakeholders to deliver strategic initiatives that improve organisational outcomes and support workforce wellbeing.

Key Responsibilities

As Manager Recovery Systems, Assurance & Strategic Projects, you will:

  • Analyse and interpret workers compensation and recovery data to identify trends, risks and opportunities for improvement.
  • Develop and deliver timely reports, insights and recommendations to support strategic decision making.
  • Monitor, report and provide analysis on key performance indicators across the Recovery function.
  • Lead and manage multiple concurrent projects and business improvement initiatives.
  • Develop, review and implement policies, procedures and governance frameworks to ensure compliance with relevant legislation and organisational requirements.
  • Coordinate and execute internal assurance and audit programs.
  • Identify and implement system, process and service improvements that enhance operational effectiveness and customer outcomes.
  • Build strong partnerships with internal stakeholders and external providers to support strategic recovery objectives.
  • Provide expert advice and guidance on recovery systems, reporting, governance and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Contribute to strategic planning and business improvement activities across the broader People & Culture function.

About You

To be successful in this role, you will bring:

  • Demonstrated experience in a similar role involving systems management, reporting, governance or strategic projects.
  • Strong knowledge of workers compensation, injury management, return to work or recovery frameworks.
  • Experience developing and implementing systems, processes and business improvement initiatives.
  • Proven project management skills with the ability to manage competing priorities and deliver outcomes within deadlines.
  • Advanced analytical and problem solving capabilities, with experience interpreting complex data and translating insights into action.
  • Experience designing and delivering reporting frameworks, dashboards and performance metrics.
  • Exceptional stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate across all levels of an organisation.
  • Strong written communication skills, including policy development, reporting and business case preparation.
  • A proactive, solutions focused approach with the ability to work autonomously in a fast paced environment.

Additional Requirements

  • Current unrestricted NSW Driver Licence.
