About the Role
We're seeking a skilled LIMS Developer to support a significant LIMS simplification and modernisation project. In this role, you'll work closely with a team of developers, laboratory subject matter experts and external consultants to design, configure, build and test new LIMS functionality that enhances scientific and operational workflows.
You'll be involved across the full lifecycle - from requirements gathering and solution design through to development, testing, documentation and end‑user support. This role reports to the Senior LIMS Developer.
Key Responsibilities
Participate in requirements gathering and solution design workshops with stakeholders and external consultants.
Provide technical input into solution design and system configuration.
Configure the new LIMS system in collaboration with internal developers and the LIMS vendor.
Develop new functionality, including scripting and macro development.
Conduct system testing, troubleshooting and bug fixing.
Prepare and maintain high‑quality technical documentation.
Support end‑user training and contribute to user acceptance testing (scenario design, mapping, script preparation, unit testing).
Work with LIMS Administrators to support BAU operations and implement enhancements.
Maintain best‑practice software engineering standards.
Promote and uphold a strong safety culture.
