The successful candidate will:
Focus on the immediate, hands-on, tactical execution of the ERP migration, specifically the crucial process of data cleansing, quality assurance, mapping and loading. Specifically, but not limited to HR and Financial data.
Work in support of the Data Architect and Data Analyst to implement data management processes and technology solutions, and ensure all data handling, storage and processing complies with defined governance standards and relevant Australian privacy requirements.
Profile, map and analyse large, complex datasets to identify anomalies.
Define and execute technical rules necessary for large-scale data cleansing and remediation to ensure data quality for the ERP migration.
Develop, automate and run data quality checks against defined business rules, ensuring data accuracy and reliability throughout the pipeline.
Prepare, visualise and report on data quality findings, metrics and data patterns to the Data Architect, Data Stewards and the Data Governance Group, to support decision-making in the cleansing and migration effort.
The successful candidate must have the following skills and experience:
Expert-level, hands-on experience identifying data anomalies including duplicates, missing values, outliers.
Extensive experience utilising commercial data quality and data profiling tools to streamline the cleansing process for large datasets.
Proven ability to define, document and execute data cleansing and remediation rules for large-scale migration efforts.
Experience establishing processes to securely collect, process and validate data, including the ability to define business rules and run data quality checks against them.
Strong understanding of data governance standards, policies and practices, particularly related to data quality management, consistency and integrity.
Proven ability to prepare presentations, write reports and communicate complex data quality findings and patterns to technical and non-technical stakeholders using dashboards and reports.
The following additional skills and experience are highly regarded:
- Hands-on experience developing dashboards and interactive visualisations, ideally using Power BI and Tableau.
Previous ERP implementation or ERP data migration experience
Experience working with ERP systems (example Aurion, TechOne, WorkDay, SAP, MS365)
Experience using the Aurion Query Tool (AQT)- Experience using the TechOne analyser ETL tool
Strong SQL skills and experience querying large enterprise datasets
Experience with Python for data analysis, transformation, or automation
Experience performing data profiling, cleansing, and validation
Experience with data reconciliation between source and target systems during migrations
Experience working with Federal Government HR or financial data
Experience producing data mapping, transformation logic, and migration templates
Experience with data quality assessment and remediation activities
Ability to work with multiple stakeholders
Experience documenting data definitions, business rules, and data lineage
Experience mentoring internal data professionals, providing targeted feedback on technical skills and improving communication of analytical insights.
Proven ability to prepare presentations, write reports and communicate complex data quality findings and patterns to technical and non-technical stakeholders using dashboards and reports.
