Lead ERP Data Analyst

12 Month Contract with Extension Option
Hybrid Working Canberra Preferred

An experienced Lead ERP Data Analyst is required to support a major ERP and Enterprise Data Platform transformation program within a Federal Government environment. This role is hands on and delivery focused, playing a critical part in ensuring high quality data migration from legacy systems to a new ERP platform.

You will work closely with the Data Architect and broader data team, taking ownership of data cleansing, profiling, validation, mapping and migration activities across HR and Financial datasets. You will also contribute to building sustainable data governance practices and uplift internal capability.



Contract Details

  • Initial contract of 12 months with one 12 month extension option
  • Estimated start date May 2026
  • Full time contract up to 40 hours per week
  • Locations QLD ACT VIC NSW
  • Canberra preferred
  • Hybrid model with three days in office and two days from home
  • Remote work may be considered for the right candidate with monthly travel to Canberra required
  • Baseline security clearance required or ability to obtain


Key Responsibilities

  • Lead hands on execution of ERP data migration activities including data cleansing, quality assurance, mapping and loading
  • Profile, analyse and interpret large and complex HR and Financial datasets to identify anomalies such as duplicates, missing values and inconsistencies
  • Define, document and execute technical data cleansing and remediation rules to support large scale migration
  • Develop, automate and run data quality checks based on defined business rules
  • Ensure data handling, storage and processing aligns with data governance standards and Australian privacy requirements
  • Prepare clear reports, dashboards and visualisations on data quality issues, trends and metrics
  • Communicate findings to Data Architects, Data Stewards and governance forums to support decision making
  • Mentor and coach internal data professionals on best practice, tools and analytical techniques


Skills and Experience Required

  • Expert level experience identifying and resolving data quality issues in large datasets
  • Extensive hands on experience with commercial data quality and data profiling tools
  • Strong experience defining and executing data cleansing and remediation rules
  • Proven ability to establish secure data collection, validation and quality assurance processes
  • Strong understanding of data governance principles including data quality management, consistency and integrity
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to present complex findings to both technical and non technical audiences
  • Demonstrated experience mentoring data professionals and uplifting organisational capability


Highly Regarded Experience

  • ERP implementation or ERP data migration projects
  • Experience working with ERP platforms such as Aurion TechOne Workday SAP or Microsoft solutions
  • Experience using Aurion Query Tool and TechOne analyser ETL tool
  • Strong SQL skills with experience querying large enterprise datasets
  • Python experience for data analysis transformation or automation
  • Data reconciliation between source and target systems
  • HR or financial data experience within Federal Government
  • Data mapping transformation logic and migration template development
  • Power BI or Tableau dashboard development
