A leading education company is currently looking for an additional Enterprise Security Architect for a 1 year contract, based in South Eastern Melbourne.

This is a newly created role with lots of scope, part of a mid-size internal security team, great team culture, with planned growth over the next year.

The role will be split between projects and BAU work.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Advice and support for the implementation of specific security directives defined in the cyber security strategy/program

  • Consult with business and technical stakeholders to identify risks, threats, and appropriate controls for new and existing services

  • Contribute to the development of IT risk and security policy, practices and guidelines - in particular the Information Security Management System (ISO 27001)

  • Utilise expertise across a broad range of technologies and platforms to develop architectural patterns and guidelines incorporating security controls designed to enhance the information security posture

  • Develop threat models for key information assets, highlighting potential threat actors and attack vectors, and utilise these to identify and prioritise the implementation of mitigating controls

Key Skills / Experience

  • 3+ years of work experience as an Enterprise Security Architect

  • Extensive experience in information security and/or IT risk management with a focus on security, performance and reliability

  • Excellent communication skills, including the ability to prepare professional documentation for various audiences, advise and negotiate at high levels and maintain discretion in a complex environment.

  • ITIL certification beyond Foundation level and experience working with agile teams is desirable.

  • CISSP, SABSA or equivalent
