This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Cyber Security Manager to work as a key Senior Advisor for all cyber security matters. You will ensure risk management, government and client compliance is attained and enhanced.

The key accountabilities on the role include:

  • Managing the implementation of ICT and Cyber security measures.
  • Monitoring information security for systems and responding to any cyber security incidents
  • Identifying and incorporating appropriate security measures and utilisation of best practice frameworks/models in the development of ICT projects and the Cyber Security uplift program.
  • Assisting the CSO/CISO or equivalent to develop security budget projections and resource allocations.
  • Guiding and advising on the selection of appropriate strategies to achieve the direction set by the system owner, CSO/CISO or equivalent
  • Working with the client to manage service providers and ICT Policy positions, including meeting the requirements of the PSPF, ISM.
  • Participate in the Security Governance Committee and be required to provide expert advice verbally and in writing across all levels of the organisation.
  • Providing Subject Matter Expertise for training and development, client and stakeholder staff in ICT security awareness.
  • Monitor CIOG/ASD/ACSC cyber briefings and reporting channels/meetings and attend relevant Industry briefings in order to as informed as possible about the cyber threat environment.
  • Provide cyber advice as necessary for assigned environments
  • Liaise with other cyber roles such as Asia Pacific RISO, and global CISO and provide required reporting and if necessary response to incidents

The successful candidate will have the following:

  • CISSP and CISA or CISM certifications (This is a Mandatory requirement)
  • Demonstrated Experience with cloud based (inc Microsoft Azure) security design patterns and practices.
  • Demonstrated knowledge and experience with information security solutions and processes
  • Experience working in large enterprise, multi site ICT environments.
  • The business acumen to provide strategic advice and solutions to the business regarding Cyber Security
  • Extensive experience with operations under the Australian Government cyber security framework, PSPF, DSPF, ISM, and iRAP
  • Hold a current Negative Vetting 1 security clearance (NV2 preferred)
