One of our leading Government client is looking for a Active Directory Engineer to join their team for a 12 months contract with a potential extension.

The Active Directory (AD) Engineer role is responsible for the planning and migration of complex environments consisting of multiple local active directory domains within Local Health Districts. The ideal candidate is a self-motivated, multi-tasker, and demonstrated team-player.

Key Requirements

• 5+ years experience using Quest migration manager for Active Directory (QMMAD)
• 2+ years experience in SharePoint and SQL (writing SQL queries)
• 2+ years experience in File share remediation
• Knowledge of Microsoft 365
• Knowledge of Microsoft Exchange
• Think and work together in a self-organising agile team
• Experience working with internal and external stakeholders to resolve issues to ensure a high-quality delivery of Active Directory migrations
• Identify the domain controllers, schedule time of synchronisation and specify the containers to synchronise
• Duplicate the environment to account for unique variables for testing the migration, ensuring the processes are effective and safe and will not affect the production environment
• Researched, tested and managed migrations with Quest Migration Manager Tool.
• Configured source and target domain in Quest Migration Manager for directory synchronisation of selected Organisational Units during setup of testing phase.
• Use of Group Policy Management Console to disable GPO Links prior to decommission and create links and/or enable OU's in new domain
• Identify opportunity for automation, make recommendations to improve the agility and efficiency migration processes
• Develop detailed technical documentation in collaboration with teams and key stakeholders, build knowledge to improve collective expertise across the Program.
