Identity Engineer

We are seeking an experienced Identity Engineer to join a major enterprise environment, delivering secure and scalable identity and access management solutions. This role offers a flexible hybrid working arrangement and the opportunity to contribute to a nationally significant organisation focused on innovation and technology excellence.
About the role
As an Identity Engineer, you will play a key role in implementing, supporting and enhancing enterprise identity and access management platforms. You will work collaboratively across security, infrastructure and application teams to deliver secure access to systems and data while ensuring strong governance and compliance standards.
Key responsibilities
- Implement and support identity platforms including Active Directory, Entra ID and federation services
- Configure and manage authentication and authorisation controls across enterprise and cloud applications
- Deliver Single Sign On, Multi Factor Authentication and conditional access solutions
- Support identity lifecycle management, synchronisation and access governance
- Develop automation solutions using PowerShell to improve operational efficiency and reliability
- Monitor, troubleshoot and continuously improve identity services and platforms
- Maintain documentation and contribute to platform uplift initiatives
Skills and experience
- Strong experience with Entra ID and Active Directory, including AD FS
- Experience with hybrid identity environments and Azure AD Connect
- Knowledge of certificate management
- Proficiency in PowerShell scripting and automation
- Demonstrated experience integrating applications with identity platforms
- Strong understanding of identity governance, authentication and access controls

Contract details
- Initial 12 month contract with up to 12 month extension
- Start date: 13 July 2026
- Maximum 150 hours per month
- Hybrid working model with a mix of onsite and remote work
- Roles available across ACT, NSW, VIC, QLD, SA, WA, TAS and NT
- NV1 clearance Required
