Identity Architect

Contract role | Hybrid working | Australia-wide locations

We are seeking an experienced Identity Architect to lead the design and governance of enterprise Identity and Access Management IAM solutions within a large and complex organisation.

This is a high impact role suited to someone who can provide strategic direction, technical leadership and strong stakeholder engagement, ensuring secure, scalable and compliant access across systems and data.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead enterprise identity architecture and act as the design authority across IAM and Privileged Access Management PAM capabilities
  • Define target state architectures, standards and patterns to ensure consistency across platforms and delivery streams
  • Provide governance and design assurance across projects, vendors and internal teams
  • Translate complex identity concepts into clear, defensible architectural decisions
  • Influence stakeholders across security, application and business domains
  • Develop and align identity roadmaps with broader cyber and organisational strategies
  • Mentor internal teams and build capability, reducing reliance on external vendors over time

Technical Expertise Required

  • Microsoft Entra ID
  • Active Directory and AD FS
  • Certificate management

About You

You are a strategic and hands-on Identity Architect with:

  • Strong experience designing and delivering enterprise IAM solutions
  • Proven ability to operate as an architecture authority in complex environments
  • Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills
  • Demonstrated experience aligning identity strategies with security and business objectives
  • Ability to work effectively in hybrid and distributed teams

Role Details

  • Contract length: Initial 12 months with a 12 month extension option
  • Start date: Mid July 2026
  • Location: Flexible across ACT, NSW, VIC, QLD, SA, WA, TAS and NT
  • Working arrangement: Hybrid with a mix of onsite and remote work
  • Hours: Up to 150 hours per month

Security Requirements

Applicants must hold NV1 clearance.
